MAGA Media attacking Pope Leo XIV

Yesterday, on WABC (New York City) James Golden, a/k/a Bo Snerdley, was riffing on the Pope. Not for the good life he has lived. Not for the hope the papacy engenders.

No. He took almost fiendish delight that he and the station were the first to "out" the Pope.

What that meant was "researchers" had done a genealogical study on Leo and found not only Creole heritage in New Orleans, but his maternal grandparents were both African-American. And somehow that made him suspect.

Mind you that James Golden is ALSO African-American.

This guy was nearly giddy with hubris and mockery with this "discovery". And inviting callers to share their distaste for the new Pope on this element alone.

I can't remember his name, but he was another one of these African-American right-wing shock jocks. I think Malloy used to go after him a lot, and his name came up often in DU posts. What little I remember is that he gave the "Uncle Ruckus" character in The Boondocks a run for his money when it came to Uncle Tom-style posturing.

But there was another one that I'm also better off not remembering in my old age. Whoever he was, he sort of invented a new genre in talk radio. In the shop talk lingo, this genre is known as "hot talk": basically, the shock jocks dance right on the line of sedition and incitement, and sometimes clumsily topple over the line. The guy I'm thinking of was exactly like that--a real-life "Uncle Ruckus" for sure.

Larry Elder might be the guy I'm thinking of. Celerity mentioned Jesse Lee Peterson, and he might also be the guy. It's likely I've rolled a whole bunch of these cretins into a composite character, which isn't hard because they're all so generic. In the lingo of the alt-right incel basement dwellers, they're "NPCs".
