General Discussion
Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsThe RW are anointing AOC
as the leader of the Democratic Party. It comes up often and they are comfortable saying this. That is because she will not take from what they believe is their base. She will be their target during the next two years, to get them through the midterms.
On the other hand, they know Bernie and his ideas would draw from their base over anger about the economy. He is never mentioned.

(2,361 posts)They try to write and repeat and repeat and repeat the narrative that they think serves them...even when the narrative is about the "other" side.
I have been watching them put this picture together on a nightly basis for several weeks. It is all about their perception of control.

(20,151 posts)The talking points ascribed to her may play well in her own district and at random rallies, but they don't play well in purple districts. We still have to fight against all-pervasive Republican "defund-the-police-socialists" attack ads every cycle.
Those talking points are one of the reasons why NY-03 and NY-04 are frontline districts.
