While this should open a dialogue woubt the validitiy of extreme economic hardship as a reason to claim refugee status, it is only this group of people (so far) who are being allowed to claim it, and that is clearly wrong.

The reason why they're being brought in while Haitians and Venezuelans and other melanin-rich people are not is Elon Musk.

Few of the white people linving in squats and worse in South Africa had anything to do with apartheit. Still, there needs to be a real conversaton about why poor white people are being shoved to the head of the line ahead of other peor people.
