Everyone working for trump is smart enough to know of how many people in the Nixon administration went to jail for the crimes they helped perpetuate. They know that the crimes they are committing far exceed what happened under Nixon.
Does our democratic leadership really think that they will not do everything in their power to stay out of jail. Yes we will have midterms but do you think that his goons will not take control of the ballots in blue states.
Senator Slotkin laid it out perfectly clearly in her short video on “trumps authoritarian playbook “ that is on her website.
She and so many others are warning that we should be prepared for the worst people to act in the worst way. I am hoping behind the scenes that contingency plans are being discussed by everyone in Democratic leadership. I don’t portend to have any answers . Just hope that behind the scenes , reality about how far down the road to authoritarianism we are is recognized. It’s well past time to move talk about this from behind the scenes to front and center.
