(3,435 posts)Years ago I had a tech support job. A customer called in very upset that her Internet was down. I asked her to describe the lights on the broadband adapter and she said it was too dark to see it clearly. I asked her if she could turn on the lights and, without missing a beat, she huffily replied, "No, silly, the power's out!"
I had to bite my tongue quite hard so I wouldn't burst out laughing.
I forget who it was but a comedian once said, "I think we should take the warning labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself."

(3,476 posts)There's the one about the person holding their mouse up in front of the screen, wondering why it wouldn't work and the one about someone who wanted to know why the "cup holder" wouldn't work any more.
Yeah, we humans are freaking idiots.

because some dumbass has tried whatever the labels advise you not to do.
When our sons were maybe 8 and 6, I bought a very large inner tube style float for them. It looked like a frosted donut. One of the warnings on the box was DO NOT EAT.
