Watergate vs. all of Trump's crimes against the constitution

I just finished watching the two part PBS special from 1983 called "The Summer of Judgment: The Watergate Hearings" and it made furious and full of despair.

The integrity and dare I say patriotism exhibited by the republican congress members (men) on the committee who voted for impeachment in 1974 and the anti-American, corruption that oozes from the pores of the current crop iwho refuse to hold this president accountable (and the few Dems who do as well, i.e. fetterman, Quellar, etc.) is an indictment of our political system. Nixon's crimes were penny ante compared to the too many to count crimes against the constitution perpetrated by the current thug in the White House. If Nixon had declared war without going to Congress, the 1974 members would have been apoplectic.

For anyone who hasn't seen the program, here's the link:

It was high drama at the time when there were still politicians who still valued principles and integrity above politics-as usual. .
