My ovarian cancer has returned.
I'm just a bit frustrated, tired of putting on a calm brave front for everyone else. I just needed to say it.

Take care and don't think you have to be calm or brave at all. Fuck cancer! Rage, cry, whatever helps you vent your fear and frustration, and then do your best to beat this!

We're all here for you.

(60,168 posts)And you were getting so close to the « five year, outta here » mark. Theres nothing left to do but try, try again to beat it. Ten years ago, my wife was there, did that. It CAN be done, no matter how bad the initial news. I realize that its « easy for us to say, » but dont give up and dont lose hope.

(2,278 posts)TEN YEARS AGO......, my wife was diagnosed with Stage Four, "END STAGE" GAME OVER CANCER........
The Medical community kept discovering a bunch of things, almost monthly, that have kept her not only living but functioning.....
Both of us realize the Medical Researchers can't keep what we call "Hail Mary's" coming forever, but so far we have had TEN YEARS more at this time.....Decent, functioning years........
Keep up your faith, don't throw in the towel just yet Xmas.....

O T
I'm writing here to inform all women to ignore when a doctor tells an older woman she no longer has to have or needs to get a yearly PAP test. My doctor and my sister's doctor told each of us that we no longer needed to get PAP test since we were 65 + years old. My sister believed her doctor and stopped getting the test. 5 years later, she was diagnosed with stage 4 cervical cancer and lost her life. I on the other hand, forced my doctor to refer me to a OBGYN doctor and continue to get my yearly tests, and my insurance pays for it. I just want to inform other women to never stop getting that lifesaving PAP test along with your yearly Mammogram. These tests can save your life. I just wish my sister had continued to ger her PAP tests. I miss her dearly.
