General Discussion
Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsI went to Costco today and the gas was $3.58 a gallon.
I am in the metro Detroit area. Then I went inside and saw the biggest chocolate bunny I've ever seen. It was between 18 inches and two feet tall and was "semi-solid." The box said a serving size is 1/151! Yikes! I doubt I've ever seen 151 servings of anything in my entire life. I almost felt it was there to mock me seeing as I how give up chocolate for Lent every year. I would never buy such a big bunny but I did buy an assortment of little Ghirardelli bunnies to take to relatives on Easter Sunday. Only 10 more days until I can eat chocolate!
I put this in General Discussion because I figured the price of gas is a political issue and a current event. Then I got distracted by the big chocolate bunny.

I'm so old I can remember when diesel was cheaper than regular.

(1,994 posts)You can get it cheaper in the county seat, but that is a 25 mile drive.

(797 posts)I saw another place that was charging $6.09 for the same. I'm morbidly curious to see how high the price gets. Also saw $5.49....a steal!

(5,129 posts)We're already being asked to work from home if possible, are back on an alert system for the first time since Covid, and they may start rationing soon especially with the tropical cyclone currently pummeling the North Island. All for a war we're not a party to and have nothing to do with.
So thanks America. It's $7.20 a gallon here already and the countdown clocks to Thunderdome have already started.

(2,676 posts)When I go there, I always fill up in Michigan and when I need more for the trip home, I get it in Indiana or if it can wait, as soon as I cross the border back into Michigan. Never Chicago.

We would never get on the road figuring we'll get gas on the way home.
Today, it would probably be 40 cents per gallon more.
