Well - we used to be middle class, but not anymore - not anymore. Affordability is smacking us in the face.

Short rant: I just paid , $6.18/gl for gas, $1200 at the local vet (I just learned that they are now "corporate" ) and $44 for a small bag of groceries which consisted of a pint of beans, pint of rice, corn & flour tortillas, and chips at the local bodega. And last month we helped our son pay off this student loans.

A word of caution - check prices & make your own refried beans - I just paid $11.99 a pint.

Edit to add: Fuck Bezos and his "Let them drink pee" Met Gala - Amazon is taking away bathroom breaks for its drivers.
