Here's a ticket for 2028. Whaddya think?

Newsom - CA
Whitmer - MI

Too early, of course, but Newsom seems a frontrunner now and Whitmer is popular in MI

We can dream, can't we?

He was a great public servant for Washington State.

I do envision Trump not lasting (health or impeachment) out his term and Vance will be hated by 2028.

The Democrats have been doing "transitional" since Reagan. Dialing back a bad policy here, doing a Cash For Clunkers there. It's no longer sustainable with the current economic realities.

We need FDR level policies and programs at this point

And we'd end up (some of us) stuck back in 1877.

No - this time-

We bring the Confederates to heel. We humiliate them. We do that by denigrating their culture and and limiting their access to American resources.

No more 'transition'. I want an LBJ. He had guts.

Instead of copying Trump’s revenge politics, why not kill the filibuster, expand the court, and Ram through progressive bill after bill (like Whitmer did in MI in one year with a single seat majority in the legislature), bills that improve the lives of all Americans, even those in the Confederate states.

If Democrats can find the courage to govern fearlessly, unhesitatingly and progressively, the could keep the trifecta for a generation or more.

But none of that can happen until the current MAGA majority on the court is neutralized.

If Dems govern fearlessly, unhesitatingly, and progressively in a manner that benefits all Americans (well, except billionaires) rather than punishes an excluded group, then voters will reward them with majorities for decades to come.

No need to hold hands and sing Kumbaya with people who don’t share a sense of basic human decency, just plow ahead and wield their power without reservation or compromise. Sure, the right will raise holy hell, and scream and tantrum and run social media campaigns trying to continue to divide the country, but none of that will matter if Dems govern effectively, and people experience the benefits in their daily lives, rather than the go-slow pragmatic incrementalism of the valueless centrists.

I don't think that's where the party Base in the Blue Trifecta States will be in 2028.

We look at 'those people' as demonic evil things. Case in point? The TN Legislature today. They need to be punished. They are truly evil and devoid of humanity.

Mass executions?

Or, like Trump, just denying those states FEMA funds and other federal benefits?

Revenge politics might make you feel good, but won’t accomplish anything, and would guarantee a reversal of power in the next election.

How about fair taxation? How about MAKING them desegregate the Christian Schools by pulling all education funding from those states until they do that?

How about going really big - one person one vote?

How about putting every single member of the Regime in Gitmo to await trial?

That's me being generous. Every single member of the CSA Gov and Military leaders should have been hung.

I mean - we even gave the Nazis trials.

So - wait -it's violent to want them tried for treason and overthrowing America?

But the DNC didn’t spend millions to learn “how to listen to men” to nominate another women.

Newsom is a hard NO for me.

Chris Murphy is also interesting to me.

And he was good for California 30% of the time, Okay for California 20% of the time, "Meh" for California 30% of the time, and, well, outright bad for California 20% of the time.
He's not exactly a Progressive and certainly not a Keynesian. He's more a populist, sort of like Kennedy was as President. Lots of buddies with money and creature comforts. And his agenda has always suited him.
Don't get me wrong. He's not - bad.

But he's not the type to walk in front of the cameras and say "They call me a traitor to my class and hate me. I welcome their hatred. I was elected by the people of the United States to help them, to fix the country to give them opportunities and the security to strive for them, and that's what I'm going to try to do. The Rich don't need my help. The rest of the Country does..."
And then roll up his sleeves and get to work.

Have to exclude Jon Ossoff on this ticket for being the other senator from Georgia. (I'll work on an alternate )
• Jamie Raskin
• Gavin Newsom
• Andy Beshear
• Senator Elizabeth Warren

The Presidential choice (and next president) will unite people and separately inject some fire and brimstone of someone who "walks the walk" into profoundly CINO's. (Christians in name only) WHERE THE SUN DON'T SHINE!!

The VP choices will all both forcefully kick ass, deliver the good message, and skillfully carry out the work that needs to be done and to drive legislation.

Alternate: Mark Kelley

Separate category: Millionaires. They didn't get rich by giving money away.
- J.B. Pritzker
- Mark Cuban
