on my browser...I am definitely stopping this habit these days as I no longer trust that Amazon isn't embedding tracking software or other in my system...I mostly use a Chromebook which is supposed to be more impervious to such stealthy invasions so there's that...we can never really know what Amazon or other mega corporations are doing behind the scenes but it's a start for me...
Edit: I do use a windows 11 machine some times so I'm going to run more anti virus and anti malware programs on that machine. Hopefully that will help it too...

(9,694 posts)are mainly iphone with a smattering of MacBook Air of my own and company windows 10 which is locked that i cant change any settings permanently, nor add apps.
i have never
knowingly seen Windows 11 personally.

(6,576 posts)I know Google really can't be trusted much with the Chromebook but it's the best I can do. I very rarely use my Windows 11 desktop but it does have a slot for a small external hard drive and I do have a version of Linux on a bootable drive that I kind of forgot about...I will see if I can still boot Linux from that drive and update it if possible...bad on my old brain forgetting about the Linux drive...we'll see...
