Where is our leadership on the Texas sentences?

Last edited Wed Jun 24, 2026, 11:41 AM - Edit history (1)

The citizens are left to oppose this regime with no real establishment political backing. We have our own Dems voting for things like the Laken Riley Act. Where is Talerico on this? Ossoff? Jeffries? Schumer? AOC?

Fuck the pool and that shit soul's decay. This is decades of building fascism.

...and a sensible judge will most likely reduce their sentences. The protests for which these people were arrested got fairly violent, and some shots were fired at ICE. I understand the motivation, but they went too far. Even so, the sentences dished out by this Trump-appointed judge were far out of line and too extreme. Still, I think this is a rather hot-button issue and most elected Dems are staying away from it. There has to be some room to protest without sounding like you agree with ICE (or government agents) getting shot. It's a fine line that expert politicians should be able to navigate.

They were not peaceful protesters,
and they probably deserve some
punishment.

I think a large fine would do it.

This is systemic. These are protests against murdering, raping white supremacists. Yeah, it's a fucking Hot-Button issue!

Careful! Don't burn your fingers!
