(5,099 posts)"Trump, in collaboration with Freedom 250, the political group he launched to supplant the congressionally established organization overseeing the semiquincentennial, has turned Americas 250th birthday into a celebration of himself. After several musical acts originally slated to perform on Wednesday dropped out earlier this month in response to this politicization, Trump announced that he would be the nights main attraction at what he termed the Greatest Rally, EVER. He asked for a bigger turnout for his next appearance on July 4."

(5,099 posts)googletube or xitter or some other high-bandwidth oligarch playground, I can usually find a text source within seconds of searching with Startpage (a non-google, non-AI source)
Text is information-rich with a high info to noise ratio. Video is the reverse. Video wastes gigabytes of irrelevant data to convey points which can be read in seconds. And it wastes my time. Life is too short for googletube.
Video and stills are appropriate when the image itself conveys the point, like with many of the Vietnam War images that taught the ruling class to control the press.
