The real story is that she's avaricious. She's forged my friend's name on loans on their property and then not paid back both interest and principal. She's gone online and raided his savings account.

They own a home. Her goal is to become his financial and legal power of attorney in order to loot that and whatever else he still owns.

Her strategy is to get a court to pronounce him as mentally incompetent.

Miller's proposal would make it easy to institutionalize him and grab the goodies.

Here's the thing: my friend isn't incompetent, but he IS a victim of narcissistic abuse by way of his wife. He's afraid of her. Won't leave her despite emotional, psychological abuse. She's even enlisted their children via stochastic terrorism.
