His mother was part of the San Fran counterculture, and worked for hip rags like the Village Voice and Rolling Stone. She later worked for erudite mags like Vanity Fair.

And his father was an icon and so comfortable in his journalistic skin.

Meanwhile, Luke is stiff and awkward and doesn't exude any journalistic savoir faire.
