do we have a senate candidate in ky? oh , right, booker.
booker is a guy who needs to be on more podcasts and such.
another is our senate candidate in louisiana , jamie davis. he seems like a nice guy, inexperienced, and letlow can be beaten if trump continues to dissolve. for starters the party should lend him a web site guy.

(7,760 posts)Million$ poured into the Republican primary to oust Cassidy, Democrats could do the same for Davis and send
Letlow packing. Her endorsement from the moron-in-chief should be attached to her ankle by a ball and chain. ETTD

(4,414 posts)CPR is performed in case of CARDIAC ARREST -- the heart simply stops beating. CPR is performed to an attempt to maintain at least minimal blood circulation until and AED can be used to assess the heart and administer electrical shock in an attempt to re-start the heart.
NYTimes published an article yesterday with details of DC EMS radio traffic in which EMS was dispatched to McConnell's address because of "CPR in progress."
I'm an EMT, ran rescue for 14 years, have responded to many such calls. Someone at the McConnell address called 911, reported "unconscious," then started CPR while EMS was enroute.
McConnell's heart stopped -- cardiac arrest. IF people on the scene and EMS on arrival does everything right -- high-quality, immediate CPR followed by AED and EMS -- the survival rate is around 10%. If the same occurs in a hospital, the survival rate is at best 18%.
EMS was dispatched and told "CPR in progress." This means one thing and one thing only: CARDIAC ARREST. I'm betting he is in a vegetative state, on life support, and his staff is lying about talking to him.

(70,162 posts)He had a cardiac arrest, he had CPR, he's an old man in fragile health so the CPR probably broke ribs, maybe his sternum, it kept him alive but he has irreversible brain damage.
This is why geriatricians urge their patients to prepare documents in advance that decline CPR. It's not worth it at a certain point in life.
