A veteran posts on Facebook, asking if Hegseth served in combat, and if he really knows what "no quarter" means.

"It would give me great pleasure to speak to Pete Hegseth in public about his "combat experience." I would ask him politely if he'd ever been having a normal conversation with a fellow soldier and that within an hour that perfectly healthy young man was being choppered off in a body bag. I would ask him of his combat experiences if he had touched or smelled a dead body. I would ask him if he had witnessed the trooper next to him become an instant amputee? I would like to know if Major Hegseth had ever heard shots fired with intent to kill? I would like to know if he has ever heard the sound of a bullet hitting his own body? Now there is something you DON'T forget! But mostly I would like to know if Hegseth comprehends the meaning of "No quarter? " I would like to ask Mr Hegseth if in all of his vast combat experiences if he had ever extended No Quarter to the enemy? And did he realize that the enemy would probably do the same for him?"

I don't think he is questioning Hegseth's combat experience so much as his "no quarter" rhetoric Redleg 3 hrs ago #2

I could be wrong. The closest I got to combat was pre-deployment orders for the first Gulf War. We got a shitload of immunizations, wrote our wills, prepared our vehicles for ship transport, and then got the news that the war was winding down. I did get a splinter from a wooden crate holding our fire direction center stuff.

Is how to chin-jut and peacock strut. He’d shit his pants if he were ever in a real firefight. And if he keeps pushing his White Xian Nationalist bullshit, he just might get one.

is in the abstract for these traitors. The Secretary of War is as paper tiger as they come. Hegseth is a cockwalking coward who serves a draft dodger that called our Gold Star and Blue Star Heroes "suckers and losers."

Both his BS were for good performance, NOT Valor. BUT

His first BS was when he was leader of a rifle platoon in the 101st Airborne in Iraq. At a time when Iraq was a war zone

I suspect he can at minimum claim service in a combat zone, and maybe something more.

I would need to see his DD 214 and evaluations in his files.
