Smokey Robinson accused of sexual assault by four women

Four anonymous housekeepers are suing Motown legend Smokey Robinson for $50 million (£37 million), accusing him of sexual assault.

A complaint filed in Los Angeles superior court accuses the 85-year-old of sexual battery, false imprisonment, negligence and gender violence, in addition to a number of labour violations related to wages, breaks, meal times and overtime pay.

The lawsuit also names Robinson's wife, Frances Robinson, claiming she contributed to a hostile work environment, and used "ethnically pejorative words and language".

I do that every day. If someone has reason to be in the bathroom during my shower, they'll see me too.

Otherwise, I hope there's much of this is untrue or an exaggeration by opportunists.

Men... I mean, there's no one we can assume is not a possible predator, no one we can just trustfully admire. I love his music.

5. I am picturing more of an orchestrated scenario

I mean, come on! What cleaning lady is going to go into the bathroom while her employer is taking a shower, unless she was told to go in (“he’ll be in there for an hour, don’t worry…”). Pure speculation, I know, but as I said, no way in hell a servant is going to intrude on her employees privacy by accident…
