Top Senate Republican Pleads With Trump to Take Action to Stop Putin 'Killing Innocent' People

Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA) called on Monday for President Donald Trump to “AT LEAST” put more sanctions on Russia following Vladimir Putin’s latest attack on Ukraine. “I’ve had enuf [sic] of Putin killing innocent ppl. Pres Trump Take action AT LEAST SANCTIONS,” wrote Grassley on X.

Trump also expressed his anger at Putin in a social media post on Sunday night, writing, “I’ve always had a very good relationship with Vladimir Putin of Russia, but something has happened to him. He has gone absolutely CRAZY! He is needlessly killing a lot of people, and I’m not just talking about soldiers.

“Missiles and drones are being shot into Cities in Ukraine, for no reason whatsoever. I’ve always said that he wants ALL of Ukraine, not just a piece of it, and maybe that’s proving to be right, but if he does, it will lead to the downfall of Russia! Likewise, President Zelenskyy is doing his Country no favors by talking the way he does. Everything out of his mouth causes problems, I don’t like it, and it better stop. This is a War that would never have started if I were President. This is Zelenskyy’s, Putin’s, and Biden’s War, not “Trump’s,” I am only helping to put out the big and ugly fires, that have been started through Gross Incompetence and Hatred,” Trump concluded.

Grassley, the chair of the Judiciary Committee and president pro tempore of the Senate, also called for Trump to take action back in late April. “IVE SEEN ENOUGH KILLING OF INNOCENT UKRAINIAN women + children. President Trump pls put the toughest of sanctions on Putin. U ought to c [sic] from clear evidence that he is playing America as a patsy,” Grassley wrote on X at the time.

The Turd did little then to end that conflict. In fact, at all times, the Turd sided with Putin against the interests of Ukraine's freedom,
its democracy and its independence and the illicit War Crime agression into Ukraine by the war criminal Russian state and its manifestly evil Dictator. In 2019, the Turd's administration was embroiled in a scandal involving the withholding of military aid to Ukraine in exchange for a promise from the Ukrainian government to investigate Joe Biden and his son. This incident further highlighted concerns about the Turd's corrupt actions and his relationship with Ukraine -- which has always been one of doing whatever most benefits the war criminal Russian state and its dictator, Putin.

the Ukrainians are "innocent victims".

I figure Grassley can never retire because he is hiding many crimes, both his own and others.
