Boulder attack suspect in US illegally: Homeland Security

Source: ABC News

The man suspected of carrying out an "act of terrorism" during a pro-Israel demonstration in Boulder, Colorado, leaving eight people in the hospital, is in the United States illegally, according to the Department of Homeland Security.

The suspect, 45-year-old Mohammed Soliman, entered the U.S. in August 2022 on a B2 visa and he filed for asylum in September 2022, according to Tricia McLaughlin, the assistant secretary for public affairs at the Department of Homeland Security.

His B2 visa -- which is typically a tourism visa -- expired in February 2023, McLaughlin said.

Soliman was granted a work permit after his B2 visa expired, a senior official told ABC News. That work permit expired on March 28, so he has been in the country illegally since then, the official said.

had another incident that will surely help the MAGAot cause........A teenager, here illegally with his parents, (who also were here illegally), took his parents car and got in an accident killing an innocent driver, in a car stopped at a stop sign.............The kid was not old enough for a license so was driving illegally, at 90 in a residential area with a speed limit of 45. Then, to make matters worse, the Judge gave him probation......

These relatively isolated incidents will be blown out of proportion by the Right Wing Media, as happening everyday, across the entire U.S.

This is the police force that totally mishandled the Jon-Benet Ramsey murder investigation. It also sent a police officer to assist a man who went to his estranged wife's apartment in Boulder to recover some of his property. As the police officer stood outside the apartment building, the man went up to the apartment by himself where the estranged wife murdered him.
Also, from today's Boulder Daily Camera:
"The man who attacked eight people Sunday afternoon on Boulder’s Pearl Street Mall is being held on suspicion of first-degree murder, according to jail records.
None of the eight victims have died, Boulder police said in a Monday morning update."

The GROSS and FLAGRANT Boulder Police incompetence in the Jon-Benet case should be in the text books for police on WHAT TO DO, AND WHAT NOT TO DO.......especially in preserving a crime scene, for investigation.......
Denver Homicide Detectives, who cover homicide cases daily, offered their help immediately and were indignantly refused by Boulder PD. There are rudimentary, basic rules on preserving the crime scene taught to cops, firefighters, medics etc. And there were a dozen rules that were ignored by Boulder Police, STARTING WITH THE FIRST OFFICER ON SCENE...........and continuing for hours.......

If all they say is true than it should be noted that his latest visa expired when Trump, Noem, and Rubio were in charge, so maybe they should be queried about why they couldn't keep tabs on him? Especially after Elon and his Doges made the government efficient ?

Sorry I don’t give a shit about El Sissi being a thug. Almost all leaders are in that region. Muslims are not persecuted in Egypt! Christians on the other hand have been for some time.

Deport him and let the Egyptian authorities take care of him.

There are too many holes in our asylum system. This was never sustainable.

That permit expired on March 28, 2025.

He's not being deported; he's going to prison, and we'll pay for his room and board until he's 85. THEN he'll be deported.

I can’t think of a good reason why his application wasn’t thrown out immediately. I think there was a lot of abuse in our asylum system, and unfortunately we’ve swung in another extreme direction, where people will now have their lives at risk (for example, afghan interpretors) if they’re deported.

He was illegal for what 2 days? He was a terrorist but to use the fact that his visa ran out just a few days before he went loopy to show that all " these" people are terrorists and need to be deported is a stretch.
