Three ships in Strait of Hormuz hit by 'unknown projectiles'

Source: BBC

Three cargo vessels have been hit by "unknown projectiles" in the Strait of Hormuz, maritime authorities say, as pressure intensifies on one of the world's most important shipping lanes.

Traffic through the strait - a vital corridor for oil - has fallen sharply since Israel and the US attacked Iran in late February, sending global energy prices soaring.

Iran said it unleashed another volley of retaliatory attacks across the Gulf on Wednesday, with targets including a major oilfield in Saudi Arabia and drones falling near Dubai International Airport.

Earlier, the US said it had "eliminated" 16 ships capable of laying mines in the Strait of Hormuz.

Maybe time to get myself one of those tricycles for adults. Our library has bikes and big trikes to lend. May have to take one out for test drive.

An electric trike.
Where can you get one and as a guesstimate how much do they cost. Do they have them for heavy and tall people? Are there models that fold up to make moving it around or up stairs more easily?

I think it was around 1500. But you can get them online too. They gave him a good deal because he also bought an electric bike for his nephew.
If you go to a bike shop you can get an idea of what fits your needs best than look for the best deal on line.

There are 2 issues with electric trikes. Weight and size.
Weight can be a problem with 2 wheeled electrics also. A good durable around town bike will be in the 30 pound range. Adding electric will push that to 50 or more. Motor and battery. Usually the frame and wheels are sturdier also. Trikes start out heavier. So you could be looking at about 70 pounds minimum unless you have an expensive one.
Trikes can be folding but from what I've seen on line the paired wheels don't fold up. The bike would be best kept at ground level. Preferably secured.

Here in Germany I have seen a good number of older and somewhat infirm people out on bikes and trikes.

Targeting oil ships in the Straight, targeting oil storage facilities and oil export ports in the Middle East.
All to strangle oil exports.

A lot of them have shut down and sent workers home for their protection.

Who needs who more?
The world's need for ME oil, or Trump and Bibi needing Big Boy brownie points?

The answer will become clearer the longer this goes on.

This has been Iran’s plan for 30+ years.

Even the W Bush admin was not dumb enough test their plan, and that was before modern drone warfare.

Trump and crew are a whole new kind of stupid.

Can disable a ship. Small. Man portable. Cheap. Iran has thousands if not millions of them dispersed across their nation.
