DALLAS Ahead of the planned deployment of ICE agents at U.S. airports amid a partial government shutdown, a North Texas-based flight attendants union has released a statement demanding pay for Transportation Security Administration workers.
Some of the biggest airports across the country have seen long lines as less TSA workers are showing up to work without pay during the shutdown. Due to this, President Donald Trump has said he will send federal immigration officers to act as security at these airports starting Monday.
In response, the Euless-based Association of Professional Flight Attendants has released a statement saying TSA workers need to be paid now.
"Flight attendants will not allow the TSA and the frontline Transportation Security Officers who keep us safe to be used as pawns in this dangerous game, nor will we fly in an aviation system that doesn't put our safety and security first," the statement reads.

They announced there would be a strike but "we don't know when or at which airport." The strikes proceeded and fucked up a few flights but the strike was over before the lawyers could come back with an injunction.
A few days later, another strike Same result.
A couple more and the public could not depend on there being a flight at any given time so bookings were cancelled or not made.
Alaska gave up in a short time.
