Inside the new regime: Source says Team Trump is growing "disillusioned"
Trump's officials are quietly concerned about his "blatant criminal behavior." What took them so long?

It is time to stop examining the chaos and time to do something about it.
I have a source inside the Trump regime who feels, in their own words, a little disillusioned. This person says they signed on to the Trump team because of DEI going too far and because woke culture was dividing the country, but is now concerned about the blatant criminal behavior of Donald Trump. Really? His last administration didnt show you that? Well, OK.
This source first approached me by saying, I can provide you bonafides to show you Im serious. That impressed me because I didnt think many people inside the Trump regime knew what bonafides were, let alone how to be serious.
This sources concerns about Trump are indeed legitimate, and deserve to be heard. Not all of us are buying everything he says, this person told me. We understand the problem, but we see no solution. You guys in the press, with very few exceptions, are not trustworthy. Congress cant be trusted and the judiciary so far hasnt been able to stop him.

(98,536 posts)F**King concern. It's bullshit.
They supported someone who tried to overthrow the government on January 6, and NOW they are supposedly concerned about "blatant criminal behavior" of donald trump
NO THEY AREN'T.
They are stupid racist assholes. Who exactly are they trying to convince that they aren't?

(55,081 posts)first, if they were sincere (which i highly doubt), well, they got to where they were because they have no backbone or principals; in any event, they are incapable of doing anything remotely "disloyal" to dear leader. they aren't acting because they were chosen for their inability to act in a way contrary to whatever donnie wants. they do not see a way to push back because they were chosen for their blindness.
second, what exactly are they "disillusioned" with? it surely not the sudden discovery that a convicted felon is a criminal. no, if they're disillusioned, its with the fact that donnie is simply not as effective and competent as they thought he was. they are seeing up close and personal that he's always been "all hat no cattle", or all image no substance.
he's the cosplay president, just as they are cosplay supporters and cosplay cabinet members and so on. they know what a successful right-wing government is supposed to *look* like, but they have no idea how to achieve it because they are all show and no go.
so when they complain about his criminality, all they are hoping for is that eventually he'll be forced out and they can hope that vance can be more effective because even if he's an idiot, at least he's not as utterly incompetent as donnie.

(55,081 posts)Quite possibly even worse than what Donnie is doing. I'm just speculating on what administration officials might be thinking.
I think they figure they can talk with Vance and negotiate normally, whereas Donnie is an unworkable combination of too easily manipulated and too out to lunch random, with added severe penalties for guessing wrong.
