One Battle After Another: Rural Health's Ongoing Challenge
If you didnt tune into the Oscars last night, I will break things down with a few observations and superlatives. Feathers, broaches, corseted bodices, Conan was wonderful, and lots of firsts first woman to win the top cinematography honor, first K-Pop song and film to take home statues, and a tie (TIE!) for best live-action short. But the top prize went to a film whose title sums up a lot of what Americans are feeling now, and particularly in rural areas.
One battle after another.
Set across the backdrop of expanses in rural California, this film highlights the struggles to rise against corruption and hypocrisy with the central story focused on a parents love for their child. It also gets a little violent for this BBC period drama queens general tastes, but its a good watch and mixes humor with very serious subject matter.
No, Im not doing movie reviews here now. BUT.
