Sain wut?

The last few days a couple pronunciations have caught my attention. I'm guessing that they're regional, but the best I can do with that is shrug my shoulders.
Anyway, context gave away the first one, "boo cows" -- because.
The second one I had to listen to a few times "nigh oh" -- now.

Here in Colorado, I grew up hearing some residents refer to Pueblo as Pee eblo and Buena Vista as Bee you nee Vista, and no correction from Spanish speakers made any difference.

Anyhoo, just something unserious to think about (or "aboot" as my friend from Toronto would say).

Buena Vista, pronounce Buny (rhymes with puny) for short by the locals. You either know or you don't.
