Silly iPad gripe

I use an iPad for my job, and I use four apps multiple times every day. Three of these show up on the “favorites” bar at the bottom of the screen or whatever Zombie Steve Jobs calls it, while the other only shows up there while I’m using it. If I accidentally open an app that I never use, it stays on the favorites bar for days.

This is just a gripe, not a solicitation for technical advice. I know how to fix it; the gripe is that it’s a pointless inconsistency that the user shouldn’t have to correct at all.
