The DU Lounge
Related: Culture Forums, Support ForumsI saw Kraftwerk a few months ago and therein I saw God.
I heard Depeche Mode, NIN, New Order, David Bowie, LCD Soundsystem, Lady Gaga, and literally all of hip-hop, in one night.
It was the most amazing show I have ever seen.

(315 posts)A former friend of mine loved their music, but I was too busy to search for them on YouTube.
There's a live perf of "Radioactivity" there, which I highly recommend!
Thanks for this link!

(55,458 posts)I was about 20 years older than the typical NIN fan at the time. It was awesome. Bought Bowie vinyl in the late 70s: Aladdin Sane, Diamond Dogs, Pinups, Station to Station, Young Americans, loved them all. Later added Hunky Dory, The Man Who Sold the Moon, Ziggy Stardust.
I bought Kraftwerk Autobahn when it first came out, way before CDs. Loved it.
Bought Depeche Mode when People are People a couple of years after it came out. Still have it. Still play songs from it, especially Get the Balance Right
I fell in love with Trip Hop via Aaron Axelson's show Subsonic on KITS (Live 105) out of San Francisco in the late 90s early 2000s. Few people in my demographic understand the genre, let alone love it. DJ Shadow, Orbital, Electronic, Chemical Brothers, Propellerheads, the Plastic Compilation albums, Crystal Method, LCD Soundsystem, Moby, Paul Van Dyk, The Orb, Fatboy Slim, Handsome Boy Modelling School. Won a package of CDs from him by calling in to his show & met him to get it. Brilliant music director.
(Video blocked by video owner) What was the show you saw?
