4. I get the shots in both eyes, but what I get are huge

floaters. I have learned to go home and to bed and sleep it off. When the numbing wears off, the eyes are very uncomfortable.

6. My MD

gave me a script for Erythromycin Ophthalmic Ointment which he puts in my eye after the shot and which I sometimes use after the numbing wears off. It helps with the pain. I need to test this before my next shot but one time I had taken ibuprofen before I went to my appointment and I had a lot less pain.

5. I've been getting those

on and off for 10 years. My first MD in Arizona would inject them into the top of my eye - and I never saw the liquid flow in. My current MD injects from the bottom of my eye and I get the same effect you do.

7. I've been getting those injections since July 2007

but only in one eye (it's a miracle the other retina hasn't deteriorated that much yet). I sometimes see the drug go in. It happens a lot more with my current doctor.

What I hate is when there's a bubble and you have this little black dot in your vision for several hours. That's not as trippy.

I've just been diagnosed with the beginning stages of MD, and I don't EVER want to have those shots! Even after having cataract surgery and multiple laser procedures.
