When referring to discreet objects, English requires the use of "fewer" in statements of comparison. You would not say the glass has FEWER water in it!

I cringe when newscasters can not make the correct choice.

told me he has prayed for my husband who had surgery a little while ago. I thanked him. It meant a lot to me that he cared and expressed his caring (and it wasn't praying for his soul because my husband is Jewish).
