The THIRD time! !#&$%)*+*%$

Always make sure you know where your cell phone is BEFORE YOU START THAT WASHER LOAD! I just lost a cell phone for the THIRD time after leaving it in my pants pocket and then running those pants through the washer. This is the THIRD time since about 2018. After the second time I put a big sign on top of my washing machine that said:

WHERE
IS YOUR
CELL PHONE?

Does anybody have any advice as to HOW TO KEEP THIS FROM HAPPENING AGAIN?

1. Learn to...

Always check you pockets before dropping things in the wash pile and again as they go into the machine. That's what I had to do.




ETA: Or you could just make a habit of putting your phone someplace and make sure that;s where it is when you put your stuff in the washer.

Carry the phone on a lanyard around your neck.
Pocket t shirts. I used to carry my phone in my pants pocket. It broke because the fram bent out of shape. changed to pocket t shirts after that. With a good case dropping it when I bend over is not a big deal.

honestly, I thought that was standard procedure

7. Buy a new Bluetooth washing machine

Then cover the controls so that you can only run it from the app

8. Carry it in your hand all the time.

The best bet is to train yourself to put it on a table, nightstand or maybe kitchen counter everyday when you get home and leave it there until you use it and then put it back.

As the saying goes,A PLACE FOR EVERYTHING AND EVERYTHING IN IT'S PLACE. The operative words being everything in it's place.

If you don't see Google Maps on the dashboard screen, you'll realize your phone is in your other pants.

It’s almost never in my pocket when I’m in the house.
