Favorite Irish Actors?

Mine are Colin O'Donoghue and Pierce Brosnan. Coincidentally I found out they were both born in Drogheda, Ireland. I always wished they'd do a sequel to Remington Steele, where Colin played the son of Remington and Laura, and took over the detective agency once they retired.

Pierce had actually talked about wanting to produce a movie of Remington Steele, only with Colin Firth, taking over Pierce's part directly. No offense to Firth, but I am glad it never came to be. I just couldn't see anyone taking over as that specific character from Brosnan. I also think O'Donoghue is closer in terms of looks to Brosnan, and would be believable as his character's son.

Ciarán Ó hAnnracháin, Kieron Moore. Don Wycherly. Aodh Óg Ó Duibheannaigh. And, of course, special mention to Spot.

We shouldn't forget directors. I love the work of Seán Ó Fearna, John Ford. Interestingly his 1927 fim, Mother Machree, is on YouTube.

First saw her work in 'Wild Rose' (2018), her breakout role (great movie, streaming free on Tubi now, I highly recommend it). Buckley's also an incredibly talented singer, she did all her own vocals on 'Wild Rose.'
