It's free. Easy to figure out and use. When I look for memes and pics for the Sunday post, I have been coming across files in AVIF format. None of the photo apps on my laptop will convert them, so I've been avoiding AVIF photos. Today, I found some photos I really wanted to use, so I looked until I found this one.
I tried MS app store and Google Play. Neither one gave me what I wanted, so I just googled my search. Yay.
Happy Wednesday!

(7,259 posts)It's a stupid format that you can't adjust to your needs!

(23,564 posts)Although, if you don't want to give your art away, why put it on a free download site? Up till today, I was discouraged.
Really glad I found this site.

Good luck!

(526 posts)...the files are NOT actually AVIC, but are simply standard .MP4 or .AVI files given the AVIC extension by the recording device. Try changing the file extension from .avic to .mp4 or .avi
This does work, but only rarely.
Another choice is to play the AVIC on whatever app recorded it, and to then use a screen recorder.
Before I down load anything from the internet (or even open an email link) I run it through the VIrusTotal site where it is scanned by between 80 and ~100 malware scanners.
A few years ago The Google bought VT, but I've not noticed any decrease in function. Basic use is free. One can sign up for an account. NO ACCOUNT on the interweb is safe, VT's paid account database was hacked and some important clients FBI, NSA, US Cybercommand had data exposed.
However if you don't have an account, you cannot
get hacked
Here's the VT site address:
