I remember this record being played by my high school French teacher (decades ago!). It was pretty funny—he retired the year I graduated, and he wasn’t the most “hip” member of the faculty by a long shot. But we could always get him to play the song at least a couple times a year, and it was clear he got a kick out of it. (RIP Mr. Dunn).
BTW, “ça plane pour moi” literally translates as “that floats (glides) for me”…basically slang for “I’m OK with that”.
