(8,680 posts)Okay, quiz time. What are the fuzzy green things in picture 8?
CaliforniaPeggy
(157,165 posts)I have no idea what the fuzzy green things are. I photographed them because they drew my eye!

(4,612 posts)My Audi is now 10 years old and running great. You can pry it from my cold dead hands. Its an A8 and they dont have that engine any longer. It looks brand new still. But, I take good care of it!

(157,165 posts)Mine's electric and pre-owned. It's a 2023 model, and I'm not sure what its name actually is.
This might be its name: 2023 e-tron Premium Plus quattro. It's a great car.
And I'm glad you enjoyed the photos.

(13,285 posts)This plant is identified as Dianthus 'Green Trick' (also known as 'Green Ball' or 'Kiwi Mellow'), a unique variety of Sweet William. It is prized for its perfectly round, fuzzy, lime-green flower heads that resemble mossy pompoms. These are versatile plants used in both formal garden borders and modern floral arrangements, known for being long-lasting. They thrive in full sun to part shade and prefer consistent moisture but can tolerate some drought.

(157,165 posts)And I really appreciate your finding out about my photo #8! It's very interesting, learning about this fuzzy flower.

(157,165 posts)Audis are great cars. Perfect for flyover country ahead of the Caucus!
I'm pretty happy these days, most of the time. The health is taking longer to appear, but I'll be OK eventually.
Thank you for your good wishes!

(134,931 posts)and the vegetables are making me hungry. Actually, the asparagus is making me jealous! The only asparagus we get around here is barely bigger than a regular drinking straw! Very strange.
Your new car looks great. Are you feeling more comfortable with it now?
CaliforniaPeggy
(157,165 posts)I've seen (and eaten!) the tiny asparagus and it's yummy.
Thanks for your comments about my new car. Every day I feel more comfortable than the day before. Since I must have a car, and with the circumstances that brought me to get this one, I'm struggling with my own reaction to the whole situation. This period of my life has been tough. Hopefully the traumatic memories will fade as I get used to my new car. Then the road will get easier.

(3,391 posts)I liked them all. Your new car looks very nice; I hope you have many happy years driving it. The flowers are pretty and the asparagus and snow peas (?) look delicious. It's hard to find produce that looks that good in the supermarket.
Thank you for sharing them with us!

(157,165 posts)Our local farmers are proud to bring to market their organically grown produce! We enjoy it so much.
I hope to have many happy years in my Audi. It has a lot of complex technical computer stuff and hopefully I will learn enough of that to be able to have those happy years!

(1,205 posts)Years ago, when my mom totalled her car, she lost her bumper stickers. Mom got a new green car and my sister drove her to a store to replace the stickers. It was back in the Bush era, so the bumper stickers were like "Bush lied, People died" and "Some Texas village is missing its idiot". Mom headed out to the street curb in front of my sister's house and started plastering her new bumper. My sister's neighbor wandered out, looking quizzically at my mom; Mom was mistakenly plastering HIS green car. The neighbor was nice and Mom apologized while peeling off the bumper decor. So, maybe, with a new, unfamiliar car, double check before applying bumper stickers!
CaliforniaPeggy
(157,165 posts)I've pretty much stopped putting bumper stickers on my cars. We live in a very tolerant area, but my heart's not in it these days.
