Police officer kills suspect in shooting during SWAT raid in Arkansas

EUREKA SPRINGS, Ark. — The Arkansas State Police (ASP) is investigating a deadly shooting in Carroll County that took place on May 1, 2025.
Officials said the incident happened in the 1300 block of Highway 187 in Eureka Springs at around 11:15 a.m.
ASP said the Tri-City SWAT, which includes the Berryville, Eureka Springs, and Green Forest Police Departments, were serving a search warrant and an arrest warrant for 44-year-old Jeremy Coyle involving sexual assault charges.
When authorities went to Coyle's home, they tried to get him to come out of his home but officials say he refused. SWAT officers then went inside his house, where he was allegedly holding a weapon.
