Go through the OSHA injury and fatality database sometime. You’ll be surprised to see how many workers are injured or killed in falls from golf carts.

DENVER — The golf-cart incident that took the life of John Elway’s business partner and close friend Jeff Sperbeck was a tragedy that drew national attention.

Sperbeck suffered a fatal head injury after falling off a golf cart driven by Elway, the Hall of Fame quarterback and two-time Super Bowl-champion as a player (1997-98), and top football executive (2015) of the Denver Broncos.

Having seen FAR too many idiots running around golf courses slamming into trees and rolling into ponds, I myself feel that there is a culture of "It's a golf cart! Time for a third stiff one!"

So, what was the BAC on the people involved? I did not read about this in detail so I do not know. But, knowing how these things go when they involve the wealthy, I am curious if that was even looked into.

I wasn't too bad at it, once I read The Inner Game book.

But I was expected to pursue golf eagerly, with reverence. It was just never there for me.

I cut off the heads of the clubs and fitted the shafts with shoe horns. Makes for a standing shoe-in every time.
