MAGA, led by failed R-Governor candidate Darren Bailey, have entered our previously non-partisan

school board election.

Bailey has been going around to smaller towns recruiting MAGA candidates for school board elections. He hit our town (14,000 people) and, while the ads and signs do not identify party, he has a slate of candidates that have combined their advertising and campaigning. They call themselves The Dream Team. Their agenda is, in part, to do away with the school libraries and, at the High School, replace the library with a weight and exercise room exclusively for the members of the male sports teams. I talked to one of these candidates and he said we should have an emphasis on sports and not on scholastics. He says he learned more from playing on the school football team than he ever learned in all of his classes. He seemed to think that was a bragging point.

Election day was last Tuesday, and every single one of the MAGA Dream Team were defeated. This in a town that voted 75% for Trump.

So glad to know that people are able to see their terrible MAGA/project 2025 for schools and vote against it.

I'm SO glad your town defeated these bozo candidates, but which of our many, many towns is yours?

"do away with the school libraries and, at the High School, replace the library with a weight and exercise room exclusively for the members of the male sports teams"

the voters want nothing to do with them.

Bailey has a lot of nerve trying to influence school board elections. Doesn't he own/run a private school of his own? Seems like I read something about that when he was (laughably) running for governor. Mind your own danged business, Darryl!

It's a Christian based school called Full Armor. You know, the kind Jesus wore.
