Jackson County voters approve all local proposals in May 6 election

JACKSON COUNTY, MI – Jackson County residents voted on several proposals, ultimately passing each on the ballot.

Here are the proposals that were supported in the Tuesday, May 6 election.

Leoni Township voters approved continued funding for police and fire services in the township.

The public safety millage received 1,205 votes in favor and 761 votes against on the Tuesday, May 6 election ballot. The millage will levy a 1.5-mill tax for another five years to fund the Blackman-Leoni Township Department of Public Safety.
