Hoboken Councilman-at-Large Joe Quintero (D) kicks off re-election bid

“I’m running at-large because I believe in a Hoboken that works for all of us. Whether it’s fighting for tenant protections, increasing transparency, or strengthening city services, I’ve been proud to deliver results—and I’m ready to do even more for every neighborhood across our city,” Quintero said in a statement.

He was first elected in 2021 on Bhalla’s slate with Jabbour and Councilman-at-Large Jim Doyle, becoming the chair of the Hoboken Democratic Committee in April 2024, as HC

The event was held at The Waiting Home, located at 72 Hudson St., where it was made clear that Quintero will run on Jabbour’s slate this time around.

The five-person race is to succeed Bhalla, who is now the Democratic nominee for Assembly in the 32nd Legislative District.
