Juliano (D) wins massive support in bid for re-election

Paul Juliano looks like a sure bet for re-election as Bergen County Democratic chairman after securing endorsements from 58 municipal chairs and a long list of federal, state, county, and municipal elected officials.

Juliano, who has chaired the county organization since 2019, won backing from Bergen County’s entire Democratic congressional delegation, every Democratic state senator and assemblymember representing Bergen, countywide officials, 33 mayors, municipal chairs, district leaders, and state committee members.

Endorsements came from Reps. Josh Gottheimer (D-Tenafly) and Nellie Pou (D-North Haledon), Bergen County Executive James Tedesco, State Sens. Paul Sarlo (D-Wood-Ridge), Gordon Johnson (D-Englewood), Joseph Lagana (D-Paramus), Benjie Wimberley (D-Paterson), and former Senate Majority Leader Loretta Weinberg (D-Teaneck).

Also backing Juliano are Sheriff Anthony Cureton, County Clerk John Hogan, State Assembly members Al Abdelaziz (D-Paterson), Kenyatta Stewart (D-Paterson), Clinton Calabrese Jr. (D-Cliffside Park), Gary Schaer (D-Passaic), Shama Haider (D-Tenafly), Ellen Park (D-Englewood Cliffs), Lisa Swain (D-Fair Lawn), and Christopher Tully (D-Bergenfield), and County Commissioners Mary Amoroso, Rafael Marte, Germaine Ortiz, Tracy Silna-Zur, Thomas Sullivan, Steven Tanelli and Joan Voss.
