Schaffer re-elected Somerset Democratic chair
Peg Schaffer will return to another term as Somerset County Democratic Chair after her re-election this week without opposition.
Schaffer has taken the Somerset Democrats from minority party status to complete and total control of county government.
Joe DeMarco was again elected vice chair.
“I am truly honored to be reelected chair of the Somerset County Democrats and to continue working to select and elect great Democratic candidates who deliver good government for all our constituents,” Schaffer stated. “At a dangerous time for our democracy, we will continue to fight for the ideals codified into the Declaration of Independence 250 years ago at all levels of our government.”
