Why are Republicans running Curtis Sliwa again for NYC Mayor?

Do they expect to lose, so it doesn't matter who their nominee is?

Do they expect that Eric Adams will split the democratic/independent votes from presumed nominee, Andrew Cuomo?

Sliwa is a political bloviator. A mediocre talk show host. Leader of a fading group of Guardian Angels. THIS is who should be leading the City?
