Netflix founder, health care CEO among latest corporate titans spending on Cuomo's mayoral run
The co-founder of Netflix and the chief executive of New Yorks largest health care provider are among the latest business titans to pour money into a super PAC boosting Andrew Cuomos run for mayor, fresh filings show.
The filings, disclosed Tuesday, show Reed Hastings, the billionaire co-founder and chairman of Netflix, gave $250,000 to the pro-Cuomo PAC, Fix the City, on May 22. His donation was listed in paperwork as being from both himself and his wife, Patty Quillin.
The next day, Michael Dowling, CEO of Northwell Health, chipped in another $10,000 to the PAC, the filings show.
Fix the City, which recently landed in hot water with the citys Campaign Finance Board due to alleged improper coordination with Cuomos campaign, has now raised more than $9.8 million, disclosures show
