Phil Berger Lost

It's official: NC Republicans’ longest serving Senate leader just lost re-election.

Phil Berger lost his seat by 23 votes. If anyone ever feels like their vote doesn't matter, remind them that two dozen folks ousted one of the most powerful people in NC politics.

Haha. 🤭😃

Berger was all powerful head of the rethugs in NC and he lost by a few votes to a local long time rethug sheriff.

He represented a totally red district, so we probably won't get a flip there, but there is lots of hope that our state goes back to being solid purple this fall!

Plus...
"Page’s campaign was outspent by Berger’s campaign by more than 40-to-1 through mid-February, finance reports show. "

And he still lost.
