Trader Joe's linked to former Rite Aid space in Woodinville

Trader Joe’s, which recently unveiled plans to open 21 stores across the country, has explored locations in Woodinville and two city officials say the popular grocer has already signed a lease.

The company's expansion plans, which include a site in Bellingham, made no mention of Woodinville. But in a social media post Friday, Woodinville Mayor Mike Millman announced that Trader Joe's signed a lease at Woodinville Plaza in the former Rite Aid space at 14035 NE 175th St.

Millman told the Business Journal on Monday that the grocery store plans to open in late 2025 or early 2026.

However, Trader Joe's told the Business Journal on Monday it does not have a confirmed location in Woodinville. A spokesperson said by email that the company was actively "considering hundreds of neighborhoods across the country, including Woodinville" for new stores.
