Delta Air Lines adds 2 nonstop routes between Seattle and Europe

Delta Air Lines Inc. (NYSE: DAL) is adding nonstop routes to Rome and Barcelona, Spain, from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, the airline announced Tuesday.

“Delta’s commitment runs deep in Seattle, from our people on the ground to our global ambitions in the skies,” Delta President Glen Hauenstein said in a news release. “With new international service and the opening of our Delta One Lounge, we’re investing in what matters most to our customers — exceptional, premium experiences — and reinforcing our role as Seattle’s largest global carrier.”

Delta will service the routes on the widebody Airbus A330-900neo, according to the release. The flight to Rome will run four times per week, and the service to Barcelona will be three times per week.

The flights, which will begin service in May 2026, expand Delta's lead as the Sea-Tac's largest international carrier. As of last month, Delta's share of international passenger traffic at Sea-Tac stood at nearly 24%, compared with just over 7% for runner-up Alaska Airlines.
