Pasco residents asked to conserve water after small plane crash causes power outage

Pasco residents are being asked to conserve water after a small airplane crashed into the Columbia River and caused a power outage in Kennewick.

“Due to the emergency near the cable bridge and loss of power, we’re asking residents to avoid the area and conserve water,” the City of Pasco stated.

The plane crashed near Clover Island around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, AppleValleyNewsNow reported.

Eyewitnesses told the media outlet the plane was flying low when it clipped power lines near the Cable Bridge, causing the plane to flip over into the river.
