Madison Clerk's Office now mailing absentee ballots for August election

MADISON, Wis. — The City of Madison Clerk's Office on Thursday announced that it has begun mailing absentee ballots for the Aug. 11 election.

If you plan to vote by mail, you can request your ballot on the My Vote Wisconsin website by entering your name and date of birth to confirm your registration and check if you’ve already requested an absentee ballot. If you have not requested one, select "start here to request an absentee ballot" and follow the instructions.

You can track your ballot to see when it was mailed and where it is in transit on the My Vote Wisconsin website.

When your ballot arrives, vote in the presence of an adult witness. Place the ballot in the return envelope, sign it and have your witness sign and provide their name and address.
