New chair of the board is Trump defense attorney-turned-US Attorney for New Jersey Alina Habba's husband. His big interest in transportation is owning a bunch of Manhattan parking garages.

Wednesday, July 16, 2025
WASHINGTON, D.C. U.S. Transportation Secretary Sean P. Duffy today announced the appointment of 12 members to the USDOT Advisory Board. The selected members are leaders in infrastructure development, finance, project delivery, transportation operations, economics, law, and policy. They will provide Secretary Duffy with strategic recommendations and high-level guidance on how USDOT can further modernize Americas transportation systems. The Board's expertise will be instrumental in shaping policies and initiatives that drive safety, efficiency, resiliency, and bring about a Golden Age of Transportation.
Were bringing 12 business leaders, industry experts, and innovators together with decades of experience in the field who will provide invaluable insights to deliver results for the American people, said U.S. Transportation Secretary Sean P. Duffy. This team will be essential to executing President Donald Trumps bold agenda to build big, beautiful things again and I could not be more excited for what is to come.
The following individuals have been appointed to the USDOT Advisory Board for a term of two years:
Chair: Gregg Reuben, Chief Executive Officer, Centerpark
Peter Bartek, Founder and Chief Executive Officer, FTS Rail
Michael Capasso, Chief Executive Officer, C.A.C. Industries
Stephen M. Dickson, Former Administrator, Federal Aviation Administration
Todd Ehmann, Senior International Captain, United Airlines
David Horner, Partner, Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP
Steven Lefton, Executive Chair, Kimley-Horn
Brigham McCown, Chair and Founder, Alliance for Innovation and Infrastructure
Francis Sacr, Principal, Lorne Infrastructure and Former Executive Director, Gateway Development Commission
Trent Morse, Deputy Assistant to the President and Deputy Director of Presidential Personnel, Executive Office of the President
Mark Tedesco, Chief Executive Officer, Academy Bus
Robert Valentine, Senior Managing Director, Macquarie Group
The USDOT Advisory Board will convene for its first meeting on July 16. Additional information about the Advisory Board, including details on its first meeting, is available here.
Additional Background:
USDOT established the Advisory Board in May 2025 and simultaneously solicited membership nominations. The USDOT Advisory Board is dedicated to: (1) developing strategic recommendations for infrastructure modernization and expansion; (2) identifying key investment opportunities in transportation technology and innovation; (3) providing insights into regulatory and policy improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce bureaucratic obstacles; and (4) advising on public-private partnerships to maximize funding and impact.
The Advisory Board was established as a discretionary committee by the Secretary of Transportation in accordance with the provisions of the Federal Advisory Committee Act (FACA) of 1972, as amended (Title 5 of the United States Code (5 U.S.C. ch. 10)).
