It is not a secret that Putin is very paranoid person. He used to have his inner circle, which shrunk with each year passing. Until recently, when even the last remaining members started being questioned in their loyalty. So Putin decided, it looks like, to completely purge all the Kremlin's elite in favor of literal war criminals, the participants of the special military operation. But the people of Russia are very concerned.

... Every living thing on the planet should be "very concerned." Putin is a psychotic monster that wouldn't hesitate for a second to literally destroy the world. If he can't own and rule it with an iron fist, then NO ONE can.

2. His economy is in knots with so many rubles going to the war. Wonder how the average Russian is faring?

Not that grassroots is going to rise up and do anything much but when folks start switching to the black market it is never good for a country. And sooner or later even the internal security forces start questioning what they are supporting that makes sense for their kids and grandkids.
